Make your own wine

One of the best parts of sponsored trips is the wine tasting tour. When Jigger was chosen as member of the Rotary International Group Study Exchange Team from the Philippines to California, USA, four years ago, he and his group of five visited wine tasting stations in Solvang and Paso Robles in California, including Still Waters Vineyards in the latter. There was great tasting wine all over. That trip stirred some interest in wines and wine drinking, of course, which led to reading up on fruit wines, dried fruit wines, stewed fruit wines, root wines, flower and sugar wines, and really special ones. Wanna make your own wine? You need less than 20 dollars to make all kinds of wine, until you discover the one that suits your discriminating taste, and that which pleases your friends no end. Culinary feast in Pampanga

Jigger is spending the week in San Fernando, Pampanga in Central Luzon, Philippines for a fellowship with the Institute for Solidarity in Asia. He never thought, however, that this is going to be an exposure to the rich culinary culture of the Cabalens or the Kapampangans.

On the average, delicious Kapampangan food and delicacies are served every three hours, making him wish he could continue to savor Kapampangan food whenever he likes even when he is already back in Iloilo. He wishes there is a cookbook for recipes of food served in specialty restaurants so that he himself could prepare what he likes to eat and enjoy the food, without waiting to be seated in a restaurant serving the same. A book like this would be perfect : Click Here!
